The Pacem in Terris Global Leadership Ecological Initiative

began with publication of the Pacem in Terris Declaration on 19 January 2012,

an ancient date for the Christian Feast of the Epiphany.

The Initiative has begun to work though four core projects,

which are still in development:


PACEM IN TERRIS DECLARATION

which guides the Initiative and remains a working paper subject to continued revision;


PACEM IN TERRIS PRESS

which is a non-profit commercial publishing house and publishes materials related to the Initiative;


PACEM IN TERRIS ECOVILLAGES PROJECT

which promotes the creation of regenerative ecovillages across the planet;


PACEM IN TERRIS INSTITUTE FOR RESERCH & EDUCATION

which is still in formation.


The Initiative and its projects are sponsored by

Pax Romana / Catholic Movement for Intellectual & Cultural Affairs - USA,

which headquartered in Washington DC.

(Its lengthy name is abbreviated as Pax Romana / Cmica-usa.)


Pax Romana / Cmica-usa is a United States member of 

Pax Romana / International Catholic Movement for Intellectual & Cultural Affairs,

which is known in French as Movement International des Intellectuels Catholiques,

and in Spanish as Movimiento Internacional de Intelectuales Catolicos.

(The international movement is abbreviated as Icmica-Miic.)


Pax Romana / Icmica-miic is officially accredited to the

Pontifical  Council for the Laity of the Holy See ("Vatican").

It also holds Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (EcoSoc) of the United Nations,

as well as with the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (Unesco),

and with other United Nations bodies.
