Pacem in Terris Ecological Initiative
The Pacem in Terris Ecological Initiative
began with publication of the Pacem in Terris Declaration on 19 January 2012,
an ancient date for the Christian Feast of the Epiphany.
The Initiative works though the following four sections.
PACEM IN TERRIS DECLARATION
This declaration guides the Initiative and remains a working-document subject to revision.
PACEM IN TERRIS PRESS
This press is a non-profit commercial publisher and it publishes materials related to the Initiative.
PACEM IN TERRIS ECOVILLAGES PROJECT
This project promotes the concept of regenerative ecovillages across our garden-planet Earth.
PACEM IN TERRIS CENTER FOR CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING
This Center undertakes research and education directly or indirectly related to Catholic Social Teaching.
Pax Romana / Catholic Movement for Intellectual & Cultural Affairs,
whose core project is this Pacem in Terris Initiative,
is the United States corresponding member of
Pax Romana / International Catholic Movement for Intellectual & Cultural Affairs,
known in French as Movement International des Intellectuels Catholiques,
and in Spanish as Movimiento Internacional de Intelectuales Catolicos.
The global Pax Romana movement,
made up of a student branch and a branch for intellectuals and professionals,
is officially accredited to the
Pontifical Council for the Laity of the Holy See ("Vatican").
It also holds Consultative Status with
the Economic and Social Council (EcoSoc) of the United Nations,
the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (Unesco),
and other United Nations bodies.
